Refrigerant work needs a certified technician and a company registered as a refrigeration undertaking. Employing one does not cover the other. Both are verifiable, so ask any installer for both — including us.
Refrigerant work needs both a certified technician and a registered company, and electrical work ends with an inspection report.

ROBELCO is a company incorporated under Belgian law, registered with the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises under enterprise number 0726.791.207, based at Stationsstraat in 3350 Linter, Flemish Brabant, and trading since May 2019. Its registered activities are general electrotechnical installation, the installation of electrically powered heating, air-conditioning, cooling and ventilation systems, the repair and maintenance of metal structures, and non-specialised wholesale intermediary activity.
On refrigerant work the requirement comes in two parts and is widely misunderstood. The technician must hold a valid certificate of competence for handling fluorinated gases, and the undertaking itself must be registered as a refrigeration company with the competent Flemish authority. Neither covers the other: a company employing a certified technician is still unregistered if it has not registered, and a registered company cannot send an uncertified person. We hold both and both can be verified. Separately, a new or substantially modified electrical installation must be inspected by an accredited body and found compliant before it is put into service — we arrange it, correct what it records and hand over the report. We do no gas installation work, refer asbestos removal to licensed firms, and where we act as an intermediary we are not the seller and we name the principal.
For work on equipment containing fluorinated refrigerant, the individual needs a certificate of competence of the right category, and the company needs to be registered as a refrigeration undertaking with the Flemish authority. They are separate requirements. An installer who holds one and not the other is not compliant, and both are verifiable, so it is a fair question to put to anyone quoting for air conditioning or a cooling system.
Only under both credentials, and if a system needs topping up it has a leak. Venting fluorinated refrigerant to the atmosphere is an offence, and repeatedly recharging instead of finding the leak is expensive as well as unlawful for larger installations, which are subject to leak checking requirements. We will look for the leak.
Because a new or substantially modified installation must be examined by an accredited inspection body and found compliant with the General Regulation on Electrical Installations before it is put into service. Without that report the installation cannot lawfully be used and an insurer may decline a claim. We book it, fix anything it records, have it re-inspected and hand you the report.
That is the granting authority's decision, not ours, and we will not promise it. Conditions change and typically depend on the equipment's performance and sometimes on the installer's qualifications. What we can do is state the specification we will install so you can check it against the current conditions before committing.
That changes the job. A load-bearing component falling within the harmonised standard for structural steelwork brings requirements on factory production control, execution class and welding coordination. We will tell you which category your item is in and either do it properly within that framework or refer it, rather than treating a structural repair as general metalwork.
No. Gas installation work requires a separately qualified installer and we do not undertake it. We will coordinate around a qualified installer, which is the honest version of saying yes to the overall job.
